Thank you to everyone who showed up and stayed late to vote on the LOA presented by the Negotiations Committee.

The results have been tabulated and the results are:

Thus, the LOA and MOA are hereby accepted. Next steps are the signing and the approval by the BOG! Once complete, they will be added to our Collective Agreement webpage.

In the meantime, one of the gains was an additional half-day Friday in 2026 and 2027, so half-day Fridays start this week instead of on the 12th of June!
|
Should you be unable to take this Friday off due to the short notice, the hours can be banked.
|

Summer Event

You are invited to the CUPEU Summer Event. This year the event will be at the Terrasse Nacarat on the 3rd floor of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. We will have for you the summer classics: Burgers, Sausages and their Vegetarian counterparts along with the necessary toppings and some delicious side dishes. (Full menu below). All attendees will receive two (2) drink tickets for the event. The drinks can be with or without alcohol. Please RSVP early to ensure your spot at this year's summer event.

N.B. - CUPEU “No Show Policy”.
|
CUPEU would like to raise awareness to the financial impact when a member is a “No Show” to an event. When organizing a large scale event, we must confirm the number of attendees, the food and beverage quantities, and other items weeks prior to the event. As there is a significant cost to this, CUPEU would like to ensure that every seat is filled. When a member does not attend and does so without notice, CUPEU still pays for that meal.
|
When a member submits an RSVP to an event but is a No Show, without sending regrets, the member will automatically be placed at the end of the waitlist for the following event to which they register. The member will be advised, in writing, that this will be the case for the next event. The waitlist process will only be applied to the following event to which the member registers. Repeat offenders will continue to receive this penalty.
