CUPEU invites you to attend a Special General Meeting on April 22, 2026, at the Nouvel Hotel.
|
Most unions’ collective agreements are set to expire in May 2026, including ours. As many members are aware, the University is currently operating under a "plan de redressement" (financial recovery plan).
|
In this context, the University presented the Concordia University Faculty Association (CUFA) with a financial proposal to extend their collective agreement through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). CUFA members approved this approach following parallel discussions that established additional terms.
|
The University has now presented CUPEU with a similar proposal.
|
At this meeting, the union will seek a mandate from the membership to negotiate an extension of the collective agreement until May 31, 2028, based on the university’s monetary proposal and the union’s list of demands.
