As you know, CUPEU does not take political or social stances. We see ourselves as working for the best working conditions possible. But, over the last year or two, our working conditions have been impacted by government decisions!
|
Did you know… the CAQ is a main contributor to our financial situation! Does this concern you? Would you like to join others who feel the same way?
|
Remember, the CAQ did the following:
- 2023–24 tuition hikes & French-proficiency rules for non-Quebec students
- Bill 74 and the broader tightening of international-student and francization rules
- Funding-freeze, revenue claw backs, and chronic underfunding
- Bill 96 / Law 14 (2022) – An Act respecting French, the official and common language of Québec
- They didn’t give the University promised money to cover the GSP (the additional 2% we received) – that came out of Concordia’s budget!
If you would like an opportunity to individually participate, with others who feel as you do, please consider the rally taking place on November 29, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in front of Place du Canada.
|
Buses will be available:
To encourage participation, inter-union bus departures are now available. It’s free and open to everyone—your family, friends, etc.!
