Dear members,
Having reached an agreement in principle, CUPEU is ending its current strike at 11:59PM on Thursday September 12th 2024. Return to work is scheduled for Friday September 13th 2024 according to your regular work schedule.
|
As of Friday September 13th 2024, the union and its members are suspending all mobilization activities.
|
The CUPEU Strike Fund will cover strike pay in full for members who have participated in the strike on Wednesday September 11th 2024 and Thursday September 12th 2024.
|
Members are not expected nor obligated to work during the weekend or to work overtime hours.
|
Members who are scheduled to work from home on Friday September 13th 2024 may choose to work from home on that day.
|
A special general assembly for a ratification vote will take place next week. Details forthcoming.
|
Finally, I would like to thank all members who participated energetically, positively and loudly, supporting us on the picket line. We could not have done this without your mobilization and trust.
