Negotiation Update
|
This morning the negotiation team met with the university to continue negotiations. CUPEU informed the university that, at Tuesday's Special General Assembly, most members were very disappointed with the Global Offer, especially the Letter of Agreement regarding hybrid work. We transmitted your comments, questions and concerns.
|
Unfortunately, the university's negotiating team did not come to the table with a new mandate and, in fact, was only ready to discuss their letter of agreement that we presented to you at the Special General Assembly.
|
As a reminder, our three key elements are:
1) a guarantee that the service side will maintain the current hybrid work conditions
|
|
2) minimum of 40% remote for the faculties and VPRGS
|
|
3) real access to a compressed work schedule
|
At the end of our meeting, the employer indicated that it will have additional conversations with their executive steering committee before returning to the negotiations table.
|
