Strike: Day one
|
|
Our first-ever strike day was full of energy and solidarity and will certainly remain an important day in the union's history.
|
Your negotiation committee remains determined to come to an agreement with Concordia's administration. As mentioned before, we are available at any time to meet with the employer to come to a satisfying tentative agreement.
|
Don't forget to bring your flag, your bells and whistles, your umbrella, your sunscreen, a water bottle and all other necessary strike items!

Sir George Williams Campus
|
|
-Regular hours 9AM to 3PM, members are asked to picket for 4 hours minimum.
|
|
-An inter-union rally will take place from 11:30AM to 1:30PM to support CUPEU's strike.
|
-CUPEU strikers are asked to eat earlier to ensure they receive a meal. Extra meals will be available for other CSN McGill and Concordia unions.
|
|
-Special hours : members are asked to picket 4 hours minimum and to arrive at 9AM. Picketing at Loyola ends at 1PM.
|
|
-CSN yellow bus shuttles will arrive at Loyola at 9:45AM and depart at 10:00AM.
|
|
-The shuttles will depart SGW at 12:30PM to return to Loyola.
|
|
-Sign-in and sign-out will be done at SGW only. Your time at Loyola and in transit will be counted.
|
|
-Members usually picketing at Loyola are allowed to arrive at SGW to picket for the day if they choose to.
|
|
-Members who start their day at Loyola are allowed to stay at SGW after their picketing day is done.
|
|
-Members who arrived by bus to SGW have priority seating for the return to Loyola, although there should be enough space for everyone!
|
|

Loyola and SGW campuses :
|
|
-Regular hours, members are asked to picket for 4 hours minimum.
|
|
-Strike activities will take place all day and a meal will be available.
|
-A shuttle will take 40 SGW strikers for a morning solidarity visit to the Loyola picket lines. The sign-in process and meal system remains unchanged.
