As soon as the press got wind of our Strike Action, due to start in the first week of September, the University almost immediately contacted our union president, Shoshana Kalfon, to attempt to avoid a strike. After several informal discussions, the employer has finally agreed to return to the negotiating table, this Friday, August 30th, to discuss our demands. There is now some hope that the negotiations team can close the gap this weekend.

We will keep you up to date on how negotiations progress with a final notice that will go out Monday on whether or not a tentative deal, regarding hybrid, has been reached or if we will meet next on the picket line. Don't forget to check your personal email inbox for updates.
