Further to the University’s analysis of the Règles Budgétaires for 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, the following is confirmed:
|
- June 1, 2023: The agreed upon salary increase will be adjusted to 6% (which is higher than the 4.8% negotiated salary increase).
- June 1, 2024: The agreed upon salary increase will remain at 3.2% which is higher than the 2.8% GSP amount noted by the government.
- Salary scales/range/amounts will be adjusted as appropriate.
- The information for 2025-2026 is not yet confirmed.
- Based upon our current understanding, the GSP amount is likely to be 2.6% (which is lower than our negotiated salary increase of 3% for June 1, 2025), however this has yet to be confirmed).
- Implementation:
- The 6% increase for June 1, 2023, (in other words, the difference between 4.8% and 6% = +1.2%) is currently being processed retroactively to June 1, 2023, with an expected payment in April 2025:
- Either the pay of April 4 or April 18

CSN’s Groupe de travail sur l’éducation de la CSN is conducting research on the use and management of artificial intelligence (AI) within educational institutions.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly present within the education and higher education networks, influencing the way employees work and their working conditions.
|
To better understand the extent of its deployment, the issues it raises and union practices in this area, the FEESP-CSN, the FNEEQ-CSN and the FP-CSN are inviting their unions and their members to respond to a short (approximately) ten-minute multiple-choice questionnaire.
