What a Party!
Thank you to those who were able to attend this year’s CUPEU holiday party. You being there made it a fun night with good laughs and we saw some pretty fly dance moves once the music got started.
We look forward to renewing with you again for more events in the new year.

A Message from the President
I hope this message finds you well and getting ready for the holiday period.
We have come a long way in the last year. We began 2024 still negotiating after four months and, five months later, received a strike mandate from the majority of the membership to strike over hybrid work. Four months later, CUPEU activated the membership's mandate and called a strike - one never before seen at Concordia University. You should all be proud of yourselves as our efforts resulted in a meaningful victory in the form of the Letter of Agreement for a Hybrid Working Group.
The Working Group process began and ended on time with the last meeting taking place on December 10th. The vast majority of CUPEU members who work in the academic sector saw their hybrid work opportunities go back to what was in place prior to summer 2023.
Thank you to the CUPEU members on the negotiations committee who worked tirelessly to win back what was arbitrarily taken away.
Thank you to the CUPEU members who have stepped down from the various committees that we have. Your hard work and dedication made us who we are today!
I would also all extend a warm welcome to the CUPEU members who were recently elected to our various committees - I look forward to working with all of you.
N.B. Our new C.A. was signed on Tuesday, December 17th by both the CUPEU and HR negotiations teams as well as the members of the upper administration.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a restful, peaceful holiday.
