1. Meeting results
Thank you to those who attended last Thursday's meeting and voted. Your attendance, questions, comments and vote continues to uphold our membership's strength in numbers and our ability to strive for the best working conditions possible as professional employees of Concordia University. It's your voice, by way of the Collective Agreement, that contributes greatly to making the university a great place to work!
|
Based on last Friday's votes, the contract extension offer was accepted by a majority of the membership in attendance. The negotiation committee has drawn up a Memorandum of Agreement which will then be signed by CUPEU President (Shohana Kalfon), VP Negotiations (Sigmund Lam) and the university for the first increase on June 1, 2021.

2. Professional Development, Round 4
Been thinking about that online course you've been wanting to take or that magazine that would provide insight to your CU job if you had a subscription? The CUPEU Professional Development fund can help, if you're eligible!
CUPEU is now accepting applications for the CUPEU Professional Development fund. The deadline to submit is March 2, 2021 at 5 p.m. (this is firm).
|
In light of COVID-19, note that:
|
- the Professional Development Committee will adhere to the university's position on work-related travel for staff.
- the fund does not cover equipment-related expenses, per article 10.12.b. If you are in need of office equipment to optimize your work-from-home situation, this is a matter to discuss your supervisor.
