The Techs have an agreement; not so for CUSSU and CUPFA

Well, it seemed like it would take forever -- but the Techs (CUUSS-TS) have finally signed a new collective agreement with the University based on an agreement in principle dating back to early September.  Tthe new agreement was signed on November 14th.  The new agreement will cover the period from June 1, 2002 until May 31, 2009 with salary and adjustments retroactive to June, 2002.  More details to come in the near future.

As for CUSSU (Support Staff) and CUPFA (Part-Time faculty), things are not looking so brights.  CUSSU has not met with the University since early October (if you can believe it) and CUPFA has received a near unanimous strike mandate from its membership.

CUPEU wishes the best to the membership of CUSSU and CUPFA and hopes that they too will reach an agreement with the University before the new year.
